Maroo is built on the Cosmos SDK with CometBFT consensus, featuring a fully compatible EVM execution environment and deeply integrated compliance and identity modules.
Consensus Layer
Utilizes CometBFT for fast, deterministic finality, ensuring transactions are irreversible once included in a block.
Execution Environment
A fully EVM-compatible layer that allows developers to deploy standard Solidity smart contracts and use familiar tooling like Hardhat and Foundry.
Protocol-Level Modules
Unlike standard EVM chains, Maroo embeds the Programmable Compliance Layer (PCL) and Identity modules directly into the node software, intercepting transactions before state changes.
