Unverified vs. Verified Accounts
Maroo's dual-tier identity model powered by EAS.
Maroo supports both standard anonymous wallets (Unverified) and KYC-linked wallets (Verified). This distinction is managed via the Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS) and dictates which transaction paths an account can use.
Unverified Accounts
Standard Web3 wallets created without any identity checks. These accounts are restricted to the Open Path and cannot interact with regulated assets or exceed certain volume thresholds.
Verified Accounts
Accounts that hold valid on-chain attestations (via EAS) proving their KYC/KYB status. These accounts can access the Regulated Path and interact with compliant financial applications.
EAS Integration
Identity is not hardcoded; it is modular. Trusted issuers provide EAS attestations to user addresses, which the PCL then reads during transaction validation.
